Job summary

MetroHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the Main Campus. You will provide frontline patient care for cardiopulmonary and post-ICU patients in a 14-bed unit, with rotating shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures, while collaborating with PCNAs, interns, and providers. Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a program seeking accreditation.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Monitor telemetry and patient status; administer medications and run basic procedures.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, PT/OT to coordinate care.
• Ensure patient safety, accurate documentation and timely bedside care.
