Job summary

MetroHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the MetroHealth Main Campus—Glick in Ohio. You will provide high-quality patient care in a 14-bed unit, performing EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures while coordinating with PCNAs, interns, and providers.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within specified timelines, and a BSN is preferred. PRN staffing applies with 1 year of relevant RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) with 14 beds.
• Utilize EKG interpretation and central line care in routine and emergent scenarios.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) as needed.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management in a fast-paced unit.
