Job summary

The incumbent will document therapy results, communicate with the healthcare team, and participate in emergency respiratory care techniques, blood analysis, and PHI handling

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC is required.
• Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the state.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment and conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Administers therapeutic procedures, understanding purpose and benefits, and performs diagnostic procedures as outlined in policy.
• Initiates, monitors and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators; aware of critical care duties and effects of therapy.
• Evaluates current therapies using protocols and makes recommendations on plans of care and patient education.
