Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy, following physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.

Duties as assigned. Qualifications include graduation from a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP licensure, and NBRC RRT credential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
