Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies in accordance with physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for the medical team, supporting nursing staff in respiratory care decisions.

Qualifications include graduation from a CoArc-approved program and NBRC RRT credentials with current RCP licensure. ACLS is preferred; PALS is required for ER scenarios.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Must hold state licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• RRT credential required by NBRC.
• PALS required for ER operations.
• ACLS preferred.
• No prior experience required (entry level).

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
