Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the Main Campus in Cleveland. The role supports patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, performing critical care procedures and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, and assisting with bedside procedures. Candidates must hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS eligibility, and have 1 year of RN experience for PRN roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) or within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Perform and interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Manage central lines and assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies/bronchoscopy).
• Support with respiratory therapies (BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, vents).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
