Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. You will provide high-quality patient care, interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and assist with ventilator support and bedside procedures.

Strong critical thinking, delegation, and time management are essential. The role requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS (and ACLS within 6 months), with PRN options requiring 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (or obtained within 90 days).
• Current ACLS certification (or obtained within 6 months).
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac status.
• Support central line care and line maintenance.
• Manage ventilator support (Trach/Vents) and advanced oxygen delivery.
• Perform bedside procedures as needed (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, PT/OT.
