Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at our MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick location. The role involves caring for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis, with rotating weekends and holidays on a 12-hour shift schedule (7a-7p / 7p-7a).

Ideal candidates will have Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and prior RN experience in critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA BLS for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, PT and OT to meet patient needs.
• Monitor and respond to patient status, perform bedside nursing procedures as required.
• Participate in patient care planning and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
