Job summary

MetroHealth's Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) seeks a Registered Nurse to join our team on rotating 7a-7p/7p-7a shifts. The role supports a 14-bed unit with high-acuity patients, requiring EKG interpretation, central line care, and collaboration with PCNAs, providers, and therapists.

Ideal candidates will have current Ohio RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year of RN experience for PRN positions. MetroHealth offers tuition reimbursement and strong certification incentives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide EKG interpretation and continuous patient monitoring.
• Manage central lines and other critical devices as ordered.
• Support BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and trach/vent needs.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
