Job summary

MetroHealth's Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) is seeking a Registered Nurse to support patient care on a 14-bed unit with 12-hour shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a) and rotating weekends/holidays.

The role includes EKG interpretation, central line care, and assisting with bedside procedures. Collaboration with PCNAs, interns, and providers is essential. Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS are required or within specified timelines. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Perform central line care and assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
