Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct respiratory care per physicians' orders and approved protocols at our Charlotte, NC facilities. You will consult on therapy effectiveness, provide ventilator support, and maintain cardiopulmonary life support equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires an AMA-approved Respiratory Care education, NBRC-credentialed RRT, NC licensure, and BLS. Bachelor's degree is preferred; sign-on bonus eligible in some positions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Associate's RRT or RRT Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC; Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in NC.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of direct respiratory care per physician orders or approved protocols.
• Consults on effectiveness of therapy and makes recommendations.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Documents therapy and results in EMR and communicates with care team.
