Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct respiratory care under physician orders and approved protocols. The role includes ventilator support, patient assessment, and collaboration with the care team in a fast-paced environment.

Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care with an RRT credential and NC licensure is required; BLS and advanced certifications per facility policy are also expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• RRT or RRT Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Advanced certifications per facility policy/standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides ventilator support and maintains life support equipment.
• Delivers prescribed respiratory care procedures and evaluates therapy effectiveness.
• Monitors patient responses and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Documents therapy and results in the EMR and reports to supervisors.
• Operates and troubleshoots respiratory care equipment safely.
