Qualifications

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of work.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA) required.
• Advanced facility/departmental certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed respiratory therapies to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Administer procedures and monitor patient responses.
• Perform diagnostic tests and blood gas analyses as per policy.
• Set up and monitor mechanical and noninvasive ventilators.
• Evaluate therapy effectiveness and communicate plans of care.
• Document therapy and results in EMR.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and provide patient education.
• Respond to emergencies and modify techniques as needed.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
