Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in respiratory therapy is required.
• Active license for Respiratory Therapy in New Jersey is required; NBRC RRT credential within 1 year is required.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and life support under physician supervision.
• Evaluate prescriptions, monitor arterial blood gases and patient condition.
• Operate ventilators and gas delivery systems to maintain oxygen supply.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and pulmonary function tests as ordered.
• Maintain patient charts and document therapy information; report adverse reactions.
