Atlantic Health in New Jersey is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care and life support under physician supervision. Responsibilities include managing ventilators, conducting PFTs, and delivering aerosol therapies.

Qualifications include an AS in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's preferred), and NJ licensure with NBRC RRT, with Epic charting experience highly favored. Great benefits and a collaborative care environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program, required.
• Bachelor's Degree, highly preferred.
• 1+ years of Respiratory Care experience preferred.
• Current or past EPIC charting experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate prescriptions, measure arterial blood gases, assess patient condition to determine treatment requirements.
• Render aerosol medications and treatments for inhalation and position patients to aid breathing.
• Set up and operate devices (ventilators, gas administration systems, humidification) to support respiration.
• Monitor treatment parameters (volume, gas concentration, humidity, temperature) and administer medicinal gases and aerosols.
• Perform pulmonary function tests to aid physician diagnosis and evaluate responses to therapy.
• Maintain patient charts with therapy information and ensure equipment is safe and functioning, arranging repairs as needed.
• Provide patient education and support for those with chronic lung disease.
