Job summary

Atlantic Health in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide life-support and cardiopulmonary care under physician supervision. The role covers evaluation, administration of therapies, device setup, monitoring, PFTs, and patient education.

The ideal candidate holds an AS in Respiratory Therapy, with 1+ year experience and an active NJ license; a BS is preferred. RRT credential is required, ACLS/BLS certification expected.

Qualifications

• AS degree in respiratory therapy required.
• BS degree preferred.
• 1+ year respiratory care experience required.
• RRT (NBRC) required.
• NJ license required.
• ACLS & BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prescriptions and monitor patient condition to determine therapy needs.
• Administer aerosol medications and assist in breathing support.
• Set up and operate ventilation and therapy devices.
• Monitor treatment parameters and patient responses.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and assist in diagnostics.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care.
