The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide advanced respiratory care across all ages, manage ventilator settings, perform ABG analysis, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize care.

Qualifications

Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory therapy program
Current state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC
BLS, ACLS, PALS/NRP as required by policy

Responsibilities

Independently manages ventilator settings based on patient condition and physician direction.
Performs arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing.
Assists with rapid response and code blue interventions.
Provides age-specific therapy for neonates to geriatrics.
Educates patients and staff on respiratory treatments and equipment.
Leads or assists in staff orientation, training, and competency evaluations.
Maintains timely documentation of assessments, therapies, and outcomes.
Ensures proper disinfection and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
Participates in quality improvement and performance monitoring initiatives.
