Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; licensed through the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
• One year healthcare experience preferred; CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and recommend respiratory therapy treatments.
• Plan, prepare, and administer treatments (aerosol, chest PT, incentive spirometry, sputum induction).
• Perform diagnostic pulmonary and cardiac tests; record treatment progress.
• Operate ventilators and respiratory equipment; monitor parameters and adjust as needed.
• Respond to code blue calls; assist with airway management and CPR.
• Maintain patient charts and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Train trainees and other health care personnel; work under medical direction as needed.
