Job summary

Logan Regional Medical Center in southern West Virginia is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver advanced pulmonic care and support patients across the lifespan.

You will manage ventilator settings, perform arterial blood gas analysis, support rapid response interventions, and educate patients and staff. The role requires NBRC RRT credential, state license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and a minimum of three years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory therapy program leading to RRT eligibility.
• Current state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• NBRC credential as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required per facility policy.
• Three years of experience in respiratory therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages ventilator settings based on patient condition.
• Performs arterial blood gas analysis and other diagnostics.
• Assists with rapid response and code blue interventions.
• Provides age-specific therapy from neonates to geriatrics.
• Educates patients and staff regarding respiratory treatments and equipment.
• Leads or assists in staff orientation and competency evaluations.
• Maintains documentation of assessments, therapies, and outcomes.
• Ensures proper disinfection and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
• Participates in quality improvement and performance monitoring initiatives.
