Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at our Main Campus. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care for adults with complex conditions, monitor telemetry, and support critical interventions.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and strong critical thinking with bedside procedures. This full-time position includes rotating shifts, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the 7 West Critical Care Step Down Unit (14 beds).
• Interpret EKGs and manage central lines as part of daily care.
• Rescue BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and airway support as needed.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management in a busy unit.
