Job summary
The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 36-hour Critical Care night team in Hartford HealthCare’s CT network. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care in a 24-bed Critical Care Unit, participate in nurse residency pathways for new grads, and collaborate with physicians and professionals to maintain top patient outcomes.
Requirements include a CT RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and 1–3 years CCU/med-surgical experience; GNR considered.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Successful completion of nurse residency, if applicable.
- One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse.
- IV/line placement experience required. ACLS certified.
- 1 - 3 yr CCU experience required/med-surgical experience.
- GNR considered.
- CT RN license and BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Develop a plan of care for a complex, multi-varianced patient population.
- Provide care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient and family needs are met.
