Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour night shift in the Critical Care Unit. Workload includes planning patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and delivering evidence-based nursing in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications include an accredited nursing degree, CT RN license, ACLS, and 1–3 years CCU or med-surgical experience. Graduate RNs with residency are encouraged to apply, with strong English communication required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Successful completion of nurse residency, if applicable.
• One year of RN experience with 1000 hours of clinical experience.
• IV/line placement required; ACLS certification.
• 1-3 yr CCU/med-surgical experience.
• GNR considered.
• Licensed RN in CT.
• BLS certification.
• English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a plan of care for complex patient populations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver care.
• Provide evidence-based nursing care and documentation.
• Precept and charge nurse duties as needed.
• Maintain high reliability and patient-centered care.
