Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Critical Care Float Pool. You will float to Trauma, Med/Surg, Neuro, Cardiovascular, and Cardiac CCUs, providing specialized care across multiple ICUs. This full-time night position adapts to varying shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Virginia RN license or eligible for licensure in Virginia.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care RN experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required/maintained.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments and interprets data.
• Forms individualized plans of care based on assessment findings.
• Supports patient/families through the healthcare continuum and promotes health.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides guidance to families.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams and mentors staff.
• Documents care activities and contributes to quality improvement.
• Keeps ongoing education records and pursues self-development.
• Collaborates to achieve optimal patient outcomes and resource coordination.
