Job summary

Air Methods Highlands is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Transport team. You will provide high-quality care during air transport, assess patients, triage needs, and ensure thorough documentation.

The role supports ongoing education and adheres to safety standards in a fast-paced, flight-enabled environment. Eligibility includes RN licensure, clinical flight crew experience, and flexibility for a demanding schedule including on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last five years or as required by state/ local EMS regulations.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience is not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care during transport.
• Assess and triage patients to determine required care.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Stay current with licensure, certifications and continuing education.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings and complete required documentation.
• Assist crew and pilot with radio, navigational and observation tasks.
