Job summary

Air Methods CBS in the South Central region is hiring a registered nurse for helicopter transport roles across multiple bases. You’ll provide high quality critical care, triage, and treatment during rapid transport, while upholding safety and documentation standards.

The role requires 3+ years of critical care nursing and 1 year of flight experience, RN license, and the ability to work two 24-hour shifts per week. Benefits and ongoing education support are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last 5 years or as required by state/local EMS regulations.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience 1 year full-time required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice and maintains patient care documentation.
• Maintains competency and ongoing education; keeps licensure and certifications current.
• Maintains equipment and supplies on aircraft; reports equipment failures.
• Attends pre-mission briefings/debriefings and assists in liftoff and navigation tasks.
• Acts as flight resource for neonatal/pediatric patients and performs approved advanced skills.
