Job summary

Air Methods CBS is seeking an experienced Flight Nurse to deliver high‑quality care during helicopter transports across multiple bases. You will assess and treat critically ill or injured patients, ensure safety, and document patient care throughout the transport continuum.

The role requires 3+ years of recent critical care or emergency nursing, plus at least 1 year of flight experience. A $30,000 sign‑on bonus is available for internal and external applicants, with ongoing education and safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum three (3) years recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last 5 years.
• Flight experience 1 year full‑time required.
• Pre‑hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice and maintain documentation.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and assist with liftoff checks and aircraft safety procedures.
• Maintain equipment readiness and supply levels onboard aircraft.
• Communicate with flight teams, EMS, hospitals and the public.
• Support neonatal/pediatric transport and participate in outreach activities.
