Job summary

Air Methods CBS is seeking a Flight Nurse to deliver lifesaving ICU-level care from the air across multiple bases in the region. You’ll assess and treat critically ill or injured patients during transports, coordinating with pilots and medical teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

A minimum of 3 years in critical care with 1 year of flight experience is required, along with the ability to work rotating 24-hour shifts and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last 5 years.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience 1 year full-time required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care including assessment, triage, and treatment for transport of critical patients.
• Maintain patient care documentation and ensure safety throughout transport.
• Assist with pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings.
• Coordinate with pilots and medical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Serve as a flight resource for neonatal/pediatric patients as needed.
• Engage in ongoing training and education with Air Methods CBS.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
