Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND six (6) months of customer service or clerical experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred keying speed of at least 40 words per minute; must obtain ACJIS and NCIC Terminal Operator Certifications within six months.

Responsibilities

• Operates fixed base communications equipment including CAD and 911 systems.
• Answers calls, interviews callers, prioritizes requests and dispatches responders.
• Monitors radio channels and relays information to law enforcement personnel.
• Enters data into CAD, NCIC and law enforcement databases; maintains logs.
• Follows policies, maintains confidentiality, and works under pressure.
