Job summary

The Trevor Project is seeking a Training Coordinator to design, maintain, and update training content and resources, supporting counselors across crisis services with best practices. You will use our online learning platform to provide structured guidance, deliver empathetic feedback, and promote counselor success with rigor and kindness.

Qualifications

• Proven successful, relevant experience in designing and facilitating training or educational programs.
• Proficiency in computer tools and online training platforms.
• Ability to create effective training materials, manuals, and visual resources.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in handling crisis situations or providing emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe environment for every team member and trainee, promoting inclusion and diversity as integral parts of the organizational culture.
• Create, maintain and update training content and resources in collaboration with CQI, Crisis Services and Public Training to ensure relevance and accessibility as needed.
• Collaborate on the design of effective and up-to-date training programs that address the needs of trainees.
• Tailor the content of training programs according to the latest research and best practices in the field.
• Coordinate, facilitate, and support year-round training for a high volume of trainees.
• Respond to all written inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate trainee progress and performance data across multiple platforms.
• Communicate directly with team members and leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Participate in direct service shifts as a crisis counselor, at least 4-hour shift per month to maintain familiarity with operational and clinical procedures.
