Job summary

LifeView Group in Pensacola, FL is seeking a CARE Team Response Technician to support counselors, nursing staff, and clients in residential, inpatient, day/evening, outpatient, and community programs.

You will establish supportive relationships, help with activities of daily living, monitor health and progress, and implement treatment plan interventions, while meeting CPI training and background screening requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience working directly with seriously mentally ill persons or completed one year (24 hours) of college classes.
• Must have 3 months experience in a related role.
• 2 years’ experience in acute care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention preferred.
• Must be able to pass advanced level CPI Training within three (3) months of employment.
• Ability to demonstrate sufficient proficiency/competency in utilizing CPI.
• Ability to mentor and train others.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Responsibilities

• Establishing a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.
• Assisting persons receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
• Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of person receiving services.
• Implementing specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan.
• Monitoring and documenting the person’s progress.
