Job summary

View Point Health in Georgia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit on a PRN basis. You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and support crisis intervention services in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

The CSU handles 5–7 day stays and TOU evaluations; candidates must have a 2-year degree and Georgia license. The role requires flexible hours (3pm–11pm) and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical degree from an accredited college AND current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND Six months of nursing experience.
• Preferred qualifications include two years of nursing experience, one year in a crisis or psychiatric unit, experience with adults and psychiatric patients, ability to lift 20 pounds, long periods of sitting/standing, valid Georgia driver’s license and clean MVR, and passing a background/drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide general direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent or disabled individuals.
• Care includes providing medical treatments, administering medication, and giving injections.
• Liaise between admitting facility, guardian, and onsite team regarding client referrals and collateral information.
• Assess each client on site; monitor condition changes; develop initial nursing treatment plans; document nursing notes and vital information in the EHR.
• Oversee wellness and safety of clients; discharge planning and patient education.
