Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health in Dalton, GA is seeking RN/LPN staff to deliver nursing care on the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The CSU is a 24/7 short-term unit focused on psychiatric stabilization and detoxification from drugs and alcohol.

You will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, manage crises, and ensure accurate charting and compliance with HIPAA policies. Training and supervision are provided as needed to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Delivery of nursing care using the nursing process for risk assessment, admissions and discharges.
• Provide education to individual and family following treatment and aftercare plans.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and agency policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission and discharge paperwork and nursing assessments.
• Monitor care, diet, activity and report concerns to APRN and CSU Nurse Manager.
• Record changes in condition and document progress.
• Complete daily shift notes and update required logs and charts.
• Provide education and assist with crisis stabilization and treatment planning.
