Job summary

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (Psych LPN) for our Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Dublin, GA. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Georgia LPN licensure required.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication abilities.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per physician orders with accurate documentation.
• Coordinate medication orders and communicate with pharmacy regarding required medications.
• Monitor for adverse reactions or side effects and report concerns promptly.
• Document effectiveness of PRN medications and patient response.
• Adhere to policies for tracking, handling and accountability of medications.
• Dispose of medications per established policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure medication-related information is documented on discharge summaries.
• Reconcile home medications with the individual and verify histories with the pharmacy; obtain ROI or verbal consent as needed.
• Maintain the medication cart and keep the medication room clean and compliant.
• All other duties as assigned.
