Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking an RN or LPN to deliver quality individual care on the Crisis Stabilization Unit. The role involves risk assessment, admissions, discharges, medication administration, unit management and crisis response on a 24/7 short-term unit with 28 beds for psychiatric stabilization and detox.

You will support patients with crisis management, documentation, and education for treatment and aftercare, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and teamwork with the CSU staff.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in Georgia.
• Proficient in clinical assessment, care planning and basic nursing services.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the APRN and CSU Nurse Manager.
• Document daily shift notes and maintain required logs.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs (CIWA, COWS, CBC, labs as needed).
• Complete admission/discharge paperwork and nursing assessments.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and aftercare.
