Zusammenfassung

The McCall Behavioral Health Network is seeking a Crisis Clinician for the REST Crisis Stabilization Unit in Western Connecticut. The clinician provides direct psychosocial assessments, crisis stabilization planning, and trauma-informed interventions to admitted clients, coordinating discharge and aftercare with the treatment team.

Positions are available on day, evening, and overnight shifts; licensed clinicians are required for day/evening shifts, with associate licenses eligible for overnight

Qualifikationen

• Active, unrestricted clinical license in Connecticut (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) required for day/evening shifts.
• Associate licensed clinicians (LCSW-A, LPC-A) eligible for overnight shifts; must pursue full licensure.
• Experience in behavioral health, crisis services, or acute care preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention principles.
• Proficiency with electronic health records; strong written documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Aufgaben

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for newly admitted clients.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized crisis stabilization plans with the treatment team.
• Provide individual and group therapies grounded in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented principles.
• Complete risk assessments for suicide, self-harm, and danger to others; adjust care plans accordingly.
• Document clinical encounters and treatment plans in the EHR.
• Facilitate discharge planning and connect clients to outpatient services.
• Coordinate with outpatient providers, mobile crisis teams, hospitals, and community agencies to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide warm handoffs and follow-up appointments prior to discharge.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team, including nurses and APRN; attend supervision.
• Attend team meetings, clinical supervision, and required trainings.
