Compass Health, Inc. seeks a part-time Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate in Festus to provide crisis support, safety planning, and educational advocacy within our shelter, assisting survivors to access resources and rebuild their lives.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and agency-established minimum automobile coverage required.
• CPR/First Aid or trauma-informed care training a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Respond promptly to crisis hotline calls with referrals and support.
• Assist shelter residents with immediate needs, safety planning, and goal-setting.
• Facilitate resident activities and participate in group gatherings.
• Complete intake paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Support shelter operations including donations and facility sanitation.
• Provide transportation to residents as needed; driving is an essential function.
• Participate in ongoing trainings and agency meetings.
• Care for shelter animals to support a healing environment.
