Job summary

City of Seattle CARE is hiring Community Crisis Responder Supervisors to lead CCR I & II responders under the CCR Unit. Supervisors will report to the Community Crisis Responder Manager and help guide crisis intervention and service delivery in Seattle.

Positions require a master’s degree in social work or psychology, WA licensure, and supervisory experience. Work involves night/weekend shifts in a busy 24/7 call center with comprehensive benefits and city-wide public safety collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Requires a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
  • Two years’ experience with individuals with mental/behavioral health concerns.
  • At least one year of lead/supervisory experience (or equivalent).
  • Current Washington State driver’s license.
  • Licensing from WA Dept of Health such as LICSW or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of CCR I & II responders and coordinate with CCR Manager.
  • Triage service requests and assign cases to CCR teams; ensure safety.
  • Provide guidance and support for mental, behavioral, social, or emotional crises; plan follow-ups.
  • Maintain community resource list and track outcomes to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Monitor operations for protocol adherence and report to CCR Manager.
  • Update policies and ensure staff coaching and action on performance issues.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and represent CCR teams in meetings.
  • Oversee documentation of client interactions and service plans; ensure compliance.
  • Dispatch CCR teams to scenes and align with public safety goals.
