Job summary

Apis Services, Inc. administers employment for Resources for Human Development’s Alternative Dispatch Team. The Clinical Supervisor role involves hands-on clinical work, field supervision, and real-time consultation to Behavioral Health First Responders (BHFRs) during crises.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed practice, documentation in the EHR, and collaboration with the Clinical Director to ensure program standards are met. Night and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Active clinical license as required by state/local regulations (e.g., LPC, LCSW).
• At least five years of experience with mental health and related populations.
• Minimum of three years providing supervision or lead clinical support to front-line staff.
• CJIS certification required upon hire.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Respond to behavioral health crises in the community as part of the Alternative Dispatch Team.
• Provide real-time clinical consultation to BHFRs in the field and remotely during crisis responses.
• Conduct screenings and assessments using validated tools to assess risk, mental health needs, trauma, substance use, and safety concerns.
• Lead and support crisis interventions using trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practices.
• Provide follow-up clinical guidance to BHFRs after crisis responses.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately in the EHR.
• Provide day-to-day clinical supervision and coaching to BHFRs during shifts and in the field.
• Review and approve clinical documentation for quality and billing support.
• Serve as rendering provider when needed, per licensure and billing requirements.
• Provide required supervision hours for staff seeking licensure as per state standards.
• Deliver clinical training and skills development to BHFRs, including crisis intervention techniques and documentation standards.
• Support implementation of program policies and QA initiatives.
• Identify trends, risks, and training needs from field work and elevate to leadership.
• Coordinate and facilitate services for participants in collaboration with BHFRs and leadership.
• Complete all assigned duties during shifts, including evenings, weekends, or extended hours.
