Resources for Human Development (RHD) Louisiana Metro Crisis Continuum is seeking a Behavioral Health First Responder for a Per Diem role in New Orleans. You will respond to behavioral health crises in the community, conduct assessments, provide crisis counseling, and coordinate with police, EMS, and other responders.

This flexible, per diem position emphasizes dignity, respect, and recovery-oriented support.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required or High School Diploma with 3 years lived experience.
• Preferred Peer Specialist Certification and experience in behavioral health/crisis intervention or related settings.

Responsabilidades

• Respond in person to behavioral health-related 911 calls in the community.
• Conduct behavioral health assessments during crises.
• Safely manage crisis situations and support de-escalation efforts.
• Provide psychoeducational services, skills training, and crisis counseling.
• Transport individuals to safer environments when needed.
• Facilitate admissions and referrals to treatment providers and community resources.
• Collaborate with police, EMS, and other first responders.
• Complete documentation per organizational and funding requirements.
• Represent the program at community events and outreach activities.
