Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN as-needed coverage within our Behavioral Health Division. The RN will oversee paraprofessionals and provide direct nursing care to individuals we support, following the care plan and agency protocols.

Responsibilities include admission assessment, health monitoring, medication administration, crisis intervention, and collaboration with the nurse manager and clinical operations staff. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing (Required).
• State RN license (required).

Responsibilities

• Assess admission appropriateness, health status, medical history and medications.
• Educate individuals about mental illness and substance use, participate in treatment and discharge plans.
• Ensure appropriate level of care and referrals as needed.
• Monitor health and safety of individuals receiving services.
• Administer medications and monitor treatment response; participate in crisis and aftercare planning.
• Attend meetings and maintain required agency/state/federal certifications.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; assist in emergencies as needed.
• Travel may be required.
