Job summary

Center for Life Management is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist for a night-shift, full-time role in Southern New Hampshire. The position involves crisis support, client-centered planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to reduce hospitalizations and promote recovery.

Training is provided, with shift differentials for weekend hours. Responsibilities include peer counseling, trauma-informed engagement, and linkage to community resources.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent or two years of relevant experience will be considered.
• Must have self-knowledge to manage one’s own mental illness and be progressing in recovery (at least one year).
• Certified Peer Specialist or Recovery Coach and eligible for CRSW or Intentional Peer Support certificates preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.
• Ability to document effectively and navigate an electronic health record; work in a clinical team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer counseling to promote hope, recovery, and active participation in treatment.
• Apply Trauma-Informed Care principles and assess trauma experiences to tailor support.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure wrap-around services.
• Build rapport and help clients set client-centered goals and engage in treatment.
• Connect clients to community resources and supports post-crisis.
