Job summary

CMHA-CEI is seeking a compassionate team member for the Bridges Crisis Unit in Lansing, MI. The role involves responding to emergencies, supporting clinicians, and assisting residents through short-term crisis intervention while maintaining a safe, organized environment.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of relevant experience, and a valid Michigan driver's license with reliable transportation. Weekend shifts and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience working with persons with emotional impairments.
• Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation for job-related use.
• Must be able to work weekends and CMHA-CEI observed holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide a supportive atmosphere for consumers and respond to emergency situations.
• Assist clinicians and interact with consumers in a short-term crisis intervention program.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment and prepare meals for up to 16 residents.
