Job summary

CMHA-CEI in Lansing, MI is hiring for a role in the Bridges Crisis Unit to deliver crisis mental health services to adults with chronic illness and related conditions. Responsibilities include triage of referrals, intake, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field required.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience working with persons with mental illness required.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to operate a computer and gain proficiency in CMHA-CEI systems (SmartCare, MIS LIVE, Word).

Responsibilities

• Triage referrals, intake and psychosocial assessment; crisis intervention.
• Provide direct and indirect mental health services to adults in a short-term crisis unit.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and contribute to treatment planning.
• Discharge planning and consumer observation; consultations as needed.
• Work under supervision of the Coordinator, Adult Mental Health Services/Bridges Crisis Unit.
