Job summary

Network Against Domestic Abuse in Enfield, CT seeks a part-time domestic violence counselor to provide crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy from our facility. You will answer the hotline, develop safety plans, and coordinate with service providers to support clients and their children.

• Associates degree in human services or HS diploma with 2+ years in social services.
• Experience in counseling/advocacy preferred and crisis intervention skills.
• Reliable vehicle, valid license, and insurance required.
• Willingness to work holidays, evenings, overnights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Answer hotline in a professional manner.
• Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
• Offer individual counseling on domestic violence issues.
• Help create a safe house environment focused on safety and empowerment.
• Advocate with service providers for clients.
• Develop and update safety plans for clients and their children.
• Work with diverse client populations.
• Maintain records, daily logs, and statistics in ETO database.
