Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Or High School diploma with Lifeline 50 hours of Crisis Intervention/Suicide Prevention training and six months volunteer time with Seven Counties.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis and suicide intervention counseling over the telephone to callers in emergency/crisis need.
• Identifies and suggests appropriate organizations and services; follows up on caller status.
• Documents and maintains accurate records of all telephone interventions during shifts.
• Reviews daily logs and client records to ensure accurate information.
• Supervises and monitors volunteers to ensure quality crisis assistance and documentation.
• Provides crisis intervention training and consultation to counselors, volunteers, and community groups.
• Attends staff and team meetings, sharing procedures of crisis intervention services.
