Job summary

Seven Counties Services in Louisville is seeking a full-time crisis intervention counselor to provide phone-based crisis, suicide and homicide intervention, document interactions, and ensure confidential records. You will supervise volunteers, deliver training to staff and partners, participate in supervision and team meetings, and promote crisis awareness in the community.

A Bachelor's degree and 1 year of crisis or behavioral health experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in crisis intervention or behavioral health.
• Experience with remote work environment preferred and confidentiality emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, suicide, and homicide counseling over the telephone.
• Identify and connect callers with appropriate resources and follow up on cases.
• Supervise and monitor volunteers and staff on shifts to ensure quality crisis services.
• Deliver crisis intervention training and consult with other counselors and community groups.
• Attend supervision, staff meetings, and required CIC/SCS trainings and events.
