Job summary

The Salvation Army Houston Area Command is seeking an Emergency Disaster Services Manager to direct and coordinate the organization’s disaster response program from Area Command offices in Houston. You will oversee risk assessments, training development, and crisis communications to ensure timely responses during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Crisis/Disaster or Emergency Management or related field and 3–5 years of experience.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and monitors Emergency Response program for Area Command.
• Analyzes facility/program risks and responds to crisis and disaster management programs.
• Coordinates resources, service delivery, and communication during incidents.
• Maintains disaster services information, inventory and equipment readiness.
• Develops and communicates crisis response plans and training plans.
• Oversees warehouse operations, safety standards and fleet equipment maintenance.
