Job summary

The CENTER for Human Services in Illinois is seeking a full-time Crisis Counselor to serve McLean and Livingston counties. This role requires a Bachelor’s in social work or related field and at least one year in community behavioral health, with crisis intervention experience preferred.

You will complete crisis assessments, connect clients with resources, and collaborate with local agencies to provide responsive support across affected counties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
• One year of experience in community behavioral health and/or crisis intervention.
• Experience completing crisis assessments preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid Illinois driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete crisis assessments
• Distribution of information on community resources to clients
• Develop close working relationships with community agencies, homeless shelters, therapists, physicians, and law enforcement personnel
• Provide service throughout McLean County and Livingston County
