Job summary

Heritage Behavioral Health Center in Decatur, IL is hiring a part-time, overnight Crisis Clinician for our Mobile Crisis Response Team. You will respond in person to children, adults, and families in crisis, helping them stay safe, stabilized, and connected to care.

You are paired with a Recovery Support Specialist, with an on-call Crisis Supervisor nearby. Schedule is part-time overnight (11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), up to 3 nights per week, with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• MHP qualification under Illinois Rule 140 (bachelor's in human services, social work, psychology, education, or related field, or 5 years clinical behavioral health experience)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel throughout Macon, DeWitt, and Piatt Counties during overnight hours

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention in person for children, adolescents, and adults
• Coordinate with Recovery Support Specialist partner during responses
• Complete clinical assessments (I-CAT, substance use screening, suicide and safety evaluations)
• Provide de-escalation, safety planning, and brief counseling
• Coordinate with hospitals, EMS, law enforcement, and community providers for stabilization and linkage to care
• Consult with ED physicians and on-call prescribers about referrals and outcomes
• Assist with involuntary admission processes when needed
• Complete clinical documentation and hand off to Care Coordination
• Participate in team debriefs and ongoing training
