Job summary

Heritage Behavioral Health Center is seeking a part-time, overnight Crisis Clinician for its Mobile Crisis Response Team in Illinois. You will respond in person to crises, paired with a Recovery Support Specialist, handling calls from 988, 911-to-988 transfers, and the crisis line.

The role offers a two-person team model, supervision access, and mileage reimbursement with a focus on preventing hospitalization and coordinating care across Macon, DeWitt, and Piatt Counties.

Qualifications

• Must meet MHP qualification under Illinois Rule 140 (degree or 5 years clinical experience).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
• Ability to travel overnight within Macon, DeWitt, and Piatt Counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person crisis intervention for all ages as part of a two-person team.
• Coordinate with hospitals, EMS, law enforcement, and community partners.
• Complete clinical assessments (I-CAT, suicide risk, substance use) and documentation.
• Deliver de-escalation, safety planning, and brief counseling as needed.
• Participate in team debriefs and ongoing training.
